Sharing Agents
By default, a newly created agent is only visible to you. To make it available to teammates, you share it — either to specific people or to the whole workspace.

Sharing with specific people
- Open the agent builder and click the Sharing tab.
- Click Add people.
- Search for a teammate by name or email prefix.
- Set their access level:
- Viewer — can open the agent and chat with it. Cannot see or edit the system prompt, tools, or knowledge base.
- Editor — full access to modify the agent, including system prompt, tools, knowledge, and appearance. Can also share the agent with others.
- Click Share.
The person is notified immediately. They will find the agent in their Agents list under a "Shared with me" section.
Viewer access explained
A Viewer sees the agent exactly as a user would:
- The agent's name, avatar, and welcome message
- The chat interface to converse with the agent
- Any suggested prompts
A Viewer cannot:
- See the system prompt
- View which tools or documents are attached
- Edit anything about the agent
- See the Analytics tab
Viewer access is ideal for deploying an agent to your whole team without exposing the underlying configuration. Think of it as distributing a finished product.
Editor access explained
An Editor has the same access as the original creator, except they cannot delete the agent or transfer ownership. Editors can:
- Modify the system prompt, tools, knowledge base, and appearance
- View analytics
- Add or remove sharing permissions for other people
- Create and restore versions
Making an agent workspace-wide
To share an agent with everyone in your workspace at once:
- Click the Sharing tab.
- Enable Share with entire workspace.
- Choose whether the workspace-wide access is Viewer or Editor.
Setting workspace-wide Editor access allows any member to modify your agent. Use this only for agents that are intentionally collaborative. For production agents, prefer individual sharing with selected editors.
Removing access
To revoke someone's access, go to the Sharing tab, find their name, and click the Remove button. Their access is revoked immediately — they will no longer see the agent in their list.
