Smart Chat
Smart Chat is the conversational hub of Hubrix. Instead of being locked into a single AI model, you choose the right model for each task — all within the same interface and the same conversation history.
Available models
Smart Chat supports six model families (exact versions depend on your admin's configuration):

Use the model picker in the top bar of any chat session to switch models. You can switch mid-conversation — the context carries over.
Starting a new chat
- Click Smart Chat in the left sidebar.
- Click New chat (or press ⌘K and type "new chat").
- Select a model from the picker.
- Type your first message and press Enter (or ⌘↵ to send without a newline).
Conversations are saved automatically. Find past chats in the Chat history panel on the left of the Smart Chat view.
Chat toolbar features
The toolbar below the message input gives you quick access to:
- Web search toggle — enable Serper-powered search so the AI can look up current information
- Microphone button — record your voice and have it transcribed automatically
- Paperclip / attach — upload a document for the AI to reference in its answer
- Model picker — switch the active model at any time
Web search and document attachment are independent features. You can use both at once: enable web search and attach a document to compare your internal data with the latest web information.
Persistent sessions
Each chat session stores the full conversation history. When you return to a session, the AI can see everything said in that conversation. Sessions do not share context with each other.
