Voice Input
Smart Chat lets you speak your message instead of typing it. The audio is transcribed automatically and inserted into the message input, ready to send.

Using the microphone button
- Click the microphone icon in the chat toolbar.
- If this is your first time, your browser will ask for microphone permission — click Allow.
- Speak clearly. A pulsing indicator shows that recording is active.
- Click the microphone icon again (or wait for a pause in speech) to stop recording.
- Your transcribed text appears in the message input. Edit it if needed, then press Enter to send.
Voice input transcribes into the message input but does not auto-send. You always have a chance to review and edit before the message is sent.
Browser permissions
Voice input requires microphone access. If you accidentally blocked permission, here is how to re-enable it by browser:
Chrome / Edge:
- Click the lock icon in the address bar.
- Set Microphone to Allow.
- Reload the page.
Firefox:
- Click the shield icon in the address bar.
- Go to Permissions → Microphone → Allow.
- Reload the page.
Safari:
- Go to Safari → Settings → Websites → Microphone.
- Find
app.hubrix.aiand set it to Allow.
Tips for accuracy
- Use a quiet environment — background noise reduces transcription accuracy significantly.
- Speak at a normal pace — slower is not always better; a natural speaking pace tends to transcribe more accurately.
- Enunciate technical terms — product names, acronyms, and jargon may be transcribed phonetically. Review those words before sending.
- Short recordings — if you need to dictate a long message, break it into shorter recordings and concatenate them in the input field.
Voice input is processed in your browser and sent as audio to the transcription service. Do not dictate passwords, API keys, or highly sensitive personal information using voice input.
Supported languages
Transcription supports most major languages. The language is detected automatically from your speech; you do not need to set it manually.
